I have over 20 years experience as a physical education teacher and supervisor for the Chicago Park Dist. I taught one year in Bellwood, IL in Elementary PE and Health. I have certification in K-12th Grade PE, and my certification is standard, valid and registered. I have experience teaching in the city and suburbs.
In addition, I have 8 years experience as an elementary teacher both in the city and suburbs. My certification is K-9th Grade, self-contained ELED classroom and my certification is valid, registered and standard. In addition, I took 2 years of Spanish in high school and two years in college. I also have an endorsement in Language Arts. My specialty is Kindergarten-2nd Grade, but I can also teach 3rd-8th Grades.
My special certifications are in NVCI Training or Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training when working with students with special needs, and CPR and First Aid. I am now finished with the first year of my MA in Special Education at Northeastern IL University. I have taken my fast track or first four classes for my Special Education Approval or Emergency Special Education Approval that are SPED 404, SPED 501, SPED 504 and SPED 509, so I can teach Special Education along with General Education explicitly, and I know how to do Evaluations, PLAFFs, IEPs, Domain Meetings, IEP Meetings and
Re-evaluation Meetings for Special Education. I was also a Special Education Teacher Assistant for two years previously.
