This PL session will focus on the Marshall Islands, the nuclear tests there, and the film and 67 Bombs to Enid detailing the impacts on the community. In the session teachers will engage with the history of these events to learn about power and resistance from the stories of the Marshallese, engage in learning and practice of key Culturally Responsive Disciplinary Inquiry skills, and get practical planning support and models of how to integrate powerful community resources within the existing CPS Social Science curriculum.
