Following the official release of our updated Health and Physical Education curriculum materials this past June, the HPE Department invites you to an essential, hands-on professional learning session designed to set you up for success.

This session is crafted to help you integrate the new standards/resources into your daily instruction. Together, we will unpack the new materials, collab with peers, and ensure a cohesive approach to student HPE literacy across the CPS.
By the end of this session, participants will explore and understand:
Scope & Sequence: Review the HPE team’s scope and sequence and complete a quick analysis of your current instructional content to ensure complete instructional coverage throughout the year.

Curriculum Maps: Align your daily lesson planning with the newly released maps that will be used as a benchmark expectations.

Preview Assessments: Get an early look at the updated formative and summative assessment tools designed to accurately measure student progress.
Please bring any current planning materials that you use to implement your current program.
