This PL session will center the experiences and stories of the Japanese Chicago community as participants are guided to understanding the critical role of Storytelling in how community identity is shaped, learn and practice key culturally responsive historical thinking skills, and give teachers practical planning supports and models of how to integrate powerful community resources within existing CPS Social Science curriculum.
