SY27 CPS Professional Learning

Join the HPE team at the SY27 Health & Physical Education Holistic Summit 1, an immersive session dedicated to driving equitable achievement through grade-aligned, standards-driven instruction. This summit centers on ensuring all students engage daily in rigorous, grade-level learning while systematically expanding access to high-quality advanced course options in health and physical education.

Throughout the summit, participants will explore how to strategically utilize formative assessments to gather real-time student data, allowing educators to accelerate learning and deliver targeted, just-in-time supports. Rather than falling back on persistent remediation, you will learn how to build intentional scaffolds that maintain high academic rigor while ensuring every learner gets the precise support they need to succeed in grade-level content.

Guided by authentic artifacts developed by our Teacher Leadership Team, attendees will gain hands-on experience navigating and implementing our newly released SY27 curricular materials. You will walk away with practical tools, model instructional strategies, and actionable insights to cultivate an inclusive environment that prepares all students for advanced HPED pathways and lifelong health literacy.

Please note there will be a vendor fair from 11:30 am - 2:30 pm with a wide-range of partners in attendance to support your program.

This summit will continue to build on the collaboration between CPS and CPL librarians through sharing resources and learning strategies for engaging with multicultural and multilingual learners. Attendees will have structured time to partner with one another in collaborative planning as they put ideas into practice.
